Primo’s Hill a particular block of well-known Poseidon’s Vineyard in Napa-Carneros is named for the gentleman from whom Nicholas Molnar purchased the property in 1973. Planted entirely to Pinot Noir the vineyard is a clonal mix of Dijon clones 115 667 777. Primo’s Hill is approximately seven-acres that follow a former bend in the river, with both east and north facing aspects.

The soils are distinct of marine sediment to clay, and river rocks. A phenomenal site for any varietal, the proximity to the ocean, San Pablo Bay fog, and the Napa river give this vineyard site an uncanny mix of soil and climate from which the Pinot Noir grapes, the wines made from them, and our wine-drinking bodies benefit.
